Where your junk goes

Donated, recycled, composted — not dumped.

Every load gets sorted by destination instead of heading to a landfill. Tell the crew which items are donation candidates and they route them with the rest.

Donated

Usable furniture and household goods go to Bridging, Arc’s Value Village, and Savers.

Recycled

Metal to certified recyclers, electronics to R2-certified e-waste facilities, mattresses to certified Minnesota mattress recycling.

Composted

Brush, branches, and compostable yard material routed to certified compost facilities.

The hard stuff

The heavy, awkward items most haulers refuse.

If it's bulky, heavy, or a pain to break down, it's exactly what we're set up for. Text a photo and we'll quote it.

Hot tubs Drained, cut down, hauled
Pianos Uprights & spinets
Sheds Dismantled & removed
Treadmills & gym gear No assembly to undo for you
Riding mowers Fluids handled right
Swing sets & trampolines Backyard teardown

About Dakota Valley

Twin Cities-grown since 2023.

Dakota Valley Junk Removal started in 2023 with one truck serving Minneapolis and St. Paul. The routes now reach across Minnesota, but the principles have stayed simple: honest communication, dependable service, and responsible disposal.

Donation partners include Bridging, Arc's Value Village, and Savers. Loads are sorted for donation, recycling, and compost when practical instead of automatically heading to a landfill.

The team lives in the same communities it serves—from Edina and Eagan to Minneapolis and St. Paul. Every job gets the same attention, whether it is one bulky item or a full property cleanout.

FAQ

Quick answers before you text.

What is the minimum pickup price?

The pickup minimum is $85 for eligible curbside or garage jobs. Send photos for the exact total, which is confirmed in writing before you book.

Why do you quote from photos?

Photos show the actual volume, item type, access, and disposal needs. That lets the crew give you a more accurate written quote without scheduling an on-site sales visit.

Will the price change when the crew arrives?

The quote is based on the photos and details you provide. If the items match what was quoted, the quoted total is the amount you approved. Send clear photos of everything to avoid surprises.

Do you serve my city or county?

Yes. Dakota Valley serves Minnesota cities and counties with route-aware scheduling based on your location.

When is the soonest you can pick up?

Most pickups are scheduled about two business days out. Same-day jobs are sometimes available based on route and crew capacity—text to check.

Do I need to be home during pickup?

Not always. If the items are accessible at the curb or in the garage, the crew can often complete the pickup and send a confirmation photo.

What items do you remove?

Furniture, appliances, mattresses, yard waste, construction debris, exercise equipment, office furniture, and general household items. Larger jobs such as hot tubs and estate cleanouts are quoted from photos.

What items do you not accept?

For safety and legal reasons, hazardous waste, medical waste, asbestos, biological waste, and explosives are not accepted. Text a photo first when you are unsure.

Do you recycle or donate items?

Yes. Usable furniture and household goods are routed to donation partners when practical, while electronics, mattresses, metal, and compostable material are sent to appropriate recycling or processing facilities.
